Business Spotlight: House to Home Creations & H2H Apparel

House to Home Creations and H2H Apparel are bringing new styles in home decor and fashion with a modern flair to Paducah.

House to Home and H2H Apparel opened May 4 at its new location on Hansen Road. Originally, the businesses were combined into one store that opened in the mall last fall while the building was undergoing completion. The stores moved March 31 from the mall location.

Amy Deweese, owner of House to Home Creations and H2H Apparel, has a background in retail and uses her past experience to bring new brands and styles to Paducah.

“I was involved with a family retail business years ago with my mom and my sister which I never intended to leave. When our business burned, plans changed and I took time away from the retail industry. I helped my husband with his business for years until the time came when I decided I wanted to start my own business,” says Amy Deweese.

When Amy started the plans to create her joint home decor and fashion retail business, she knew she wanted to bring something new to Paducah.

“I got ideas about products I wanted to carry through travel and there were a few brands and products in particular that I was really passionate about bringing to the people of Paducah. It’s also hard not to love clothes, so I knew I wanted to have a part of the store designated to fashion.”

It’s Amy’s goal to carry products that can be purchased with a purpose and that other retailers in Paducah do not currently offer.

“We are trying to offer quality products for all price ranges to accommodate people of all backgrounds. I also wanted to ensure that I offer quality products from brands that are giving back to others in a positive way including clothing brands such as Karen Kane, Liverpool and Sanctuary that are great quality and made to last for years to come.”

One product that gives back with every purchase is the candles Amy carries in store. The candles are affordable and inserted into a recycled wine bottle. Each candle sells benefits homeless dogs and provides a living for the small family that sells the candles.

“Every time I go to market, my goal is to incorporate one new brand into my shops that give back to others in a positive way and replace that brand with one that doesn’t give back with a purpose.”

House to Home Creations and H2H Apparel offers a variety of home decor, clothing brands, unique wedding gifts and engraving for personalized items. The stores are located at 4746 Hansen Rd and opened from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
